Fort Wayne, Ind.—The Upstate Alliance of REALTORS® (UPSTAR) is pleased to announce that Adam Smith has been selected to fill the Executive Officer position for UPSTAR and its subsidiary UPSTAR Multiple Listing Service.

“We are excited to welcome Adam to this new role at UPSTAR,” said Rudy Koch, Search Committee Chair & 2024 UPSTAR MLS President. “We believe Adam has the local connections, real estate knowledge and vision to take our Association to the next level.”

Smith, a Fort Wayne native, has been a real estate professional in Northeast Indiana for 26 years and is a fourth-generation REALTOR®. He was most recently affiliated with Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group, where he won numerous sales awards and served in a management role for eight years. During his career as a REALTOR®, he also served as the President of the Upstate Alliance of REALTORS® twice, in 2013 and in 2021; he is a member of the Indiana REALTORS® Leadership Academy Class of 2024; and he was named by his peers as REALTOR® of the Year in 2013. He and his wife Stephanny are adjusting to being empty nesters, and their daughter Grace is a student at the University of Kentucky.

When he’s not at work, Smith is a Fort Wayne history buff and enjoys photography and riding vintage Schwinn bikes.

Smith started his new role with UPSTAR on March 25, 2024. Under the oversight of the Board of Directors, he is responsible for formulating and executing the programs and activities of the Association that further its mission, strategic plan and objectives. UPSTAR serves REALTORS® in Adams, Allen, Huntington, Jay, Wells and Whitley Counties.
