The Upstate Alliance of REALTORS® (UPSTAR) has named Jackie McBride, Perfect Pad Realty, its 2021 REALTOR® of the Year.
The REALTOR® of the Year is selected by the recipient’s peers and is UPSTAR’s top award, recognizing outstanding volunteer contributions on behalf of the association, the real estate industry, and the community. It is given to a REALTOR® member who exemplifies the highest level of professional conduct in serving the needs of the public.
McBride serves on the UPSTAR MLS and Indiana Regional MLS Board of Directors. She also serves on UPSTAR’s Community Outreach Committee, where she is an integral part of planning and participating in outreach projects that serve the underprivileged and disabled members of the community.
“When it comes to community service, Jackie is one of the first to step up and step in not only with our association events but those within the Fort Wayne community,” said Renee Cox, 2020 UPSTAR President and 2018 REALTOR® of the Year. When volunteers are needed, “No” is not in her vocabulary.”
The REALTOR® of the Year honor was just one of several service awards presented during UPSTAR’s General Membership meeting in December. Additional awards included:
- Hall of Fame Award—Gregory Fahl, Orizon Real Estate.
The Hall of Fame Award is given for exceptional and outstanding service to the community and the real estate profession over a lifetime. Fahl has served and supported the UPSTAR association and the Whitley County community for nearly 40 years as a member of the association. - Affiliate of the Year— Johnathan Morales, Allstate Insurance.
Morales received this award for his exceptional service and support of UPSTAR’s charitable outreach events. - Outstanding Service Award— Terry Miller, Century 21 Bradley Realty
Miller received this award for his leadership, volunteerism, and commitment in serving the real estate profession and the community in Huntington County - President’s Award—Joel Essex, Schrader Real Estate & Auction
This award was given to Essex by the 2021 UPSTAR President Adam Smith for his assistance and support of Smith during his term as president. - Special Projects Award—Ashley Lanning, UPSTAR Membership & Education Director.
This award was given to Lanning for her creativity and innovation in planning major association events during unprecedented times. - Community Service Award—Jackie McBride, Perfect Pad Realty.
This award was given to McBride for her leadership and dedication to UPSTAR’s community service initiatives.
