UPSTAR MLS Releases September Housing Market Report

Today, the Upstate Alliance of REALTORS® Multiple Listing Service (UPSTAR MLS) released its September 2018 local housing market report. Comparing last month’s figures to the same timeframe in 2017, the leading market indicators are as follows:

  • New Listings increased 1.8 percent to 889.
  • Pending Sales were up 5.8 percent to 695
  • Closed Sales decreased 1.9 percent to 674.
  • Inventory levels shrank 17.4 percent to 1,509 units.
  • The Median Sales Price increased 7.5 percent to $145,000.
  • Percent of Original List Price Received decreased 0.4 percent to 95.8.

The data from the September 2018 Monthly Indicators report tells consumers how the northeastern Indiana housing market is performing according to nine different indicators with comparisons to 2016 and 2017.
