UPSTAR Expands Real Estate School to Members of the Public

February 11, 2016

The Upstate Alliance of REALTORS® (UPSTAR) recently expanded its real estate school to include the 90-Hour Broker Pre-Licensing Course required by the state prior to sitting for the Indiana real estate broker licensing exam.

UPSTAR, who serves the professional needs of more than 1,500 REALTORS® and Affiliate members in the Fort Wayne area, has been approved to teach continuing education classes to licensed real estate agents for years. The decision to expand services to unlicensed people came about naturally, as the organization regularly fields calls from members of the public seeking information about becoming a real estate agent.

“People naturally think of contacting existing REALTORS® when considering a career in real estate,” said Katrina Kay, Executive Officer for UPSTAR. “We get these calls and so do the real estate firms who are members of our association. The 90-Hour Pre-Licensing course is a natural complement to the array of education we are already offering. ”

The UPSTAR School of Real Estate will offer its first 90-Hour Pre-Licensing course in the spring staring April 11, 2016. The course will be taught live, in a classroom-style format, by UPSTAR instructors approved by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency. The school is located at 3403 E. Dupont Road in Fort Wayne, Ind.
