UPSTAR MLS Releases October Housing Market Report

Today, the Upstate Alliance of REALTORS® Multiple Listing Service (UPSTAR MLS) released its October 2015 local housing market report. Comparing last month’s figures to the same timeframe in 2014, the leading market indicators are as follows:

  • New Listings decreased 4.2 percent to 848.
  • Pending Sales were down 3.7 percent to 603.
  • Closed Sales decreased 9.4 percent to 672.
  • Inventory levels shrank 19.1 percent to 2,446 units.
  • The Median Sales Price increased 2.5 percent to $116,250.
  • Percent of Original List Price Received increased 0.5 percent to 93.4.
  • Months Supply of Inventory was down 26.0 percent to 3.7 months.

“Market numbers reflect the seasonal drop off but consumer demand is still great and continues to overtake the inventory available,” said Dave Mervar, 2015 UPSTAR President. “Interest rates are still attractive for those considering buying in the near future.”_

The data from the October 2015 Monthly Indicators report tells consumers how the northeastern Indiana housing market is performing according to nine different indicators with comparisons to 2013 and 2014.
