UPSTAR MLS Releases August Housing Market Report

Today, the Upstate Alliance of REALTORS® Multiple Listing Service (UPSTAR MLS) released its August 2015 local housing market report. Comparing last month’s figures to the same timeframe in 2014, the leading market indicators are as follows:

  • New Listings increased 0.5 percent to 972.
  • Pending Sales were up 17.5 percent to 779.
  • Closed Sales decreased 2.0 percent to 693.
  • Inventory levels shrank 21.7 percent to 2,541 units.
  • The Median Sales Price increased 2.7 percent to $118,000.
  • Percent of Original List Price Received increased 0.7 percent to 94.6.
  • Months Supply of Inventory was down 30.9 percent to 3.8 months.

The data from the August 2015 Monthly Indicators report tells consumers how the northeastern Indiana housing market is performing according to nine different indicators with comparisons to 2013 and 2014.
