Alliance & REALTOR® Association Partner on Northeast Indiana Corporate Attraction Video
October 11, 2011
The Fort Wayne – Allen County Economic Development Alliance and the Upstate Alliance of REALTORS® (UPSTAR) have partnered to release the first in a series of corporate attraction videos designed to showcase the benefits of living and working in Allen County and Northeast Indiana. The first video highlights the region’s quality of life, housing and low cost of living—comparing Fort Wayne to other destinations.
“Corporate executives considering relocation not only want to know about a city’s business climate, but also about the lifestyle they can expect for themselves and their families,” said Patrick Dooley, vice president of Airport Development. “We felt limited in our ability to adequately communicate the great housing and quality of life this region had to offer. This video will enhance our presentation of Allen County and Northeast Indiana as a great place to live by capturing the beautiful neighborhoods, downtown and cultural attractions, and natural resources in and around Fort Wayne.”
The Alliance is the single point of contact for assistance with tax incentives, grants, workforce training, government agencies and site/building locations. Since the first video in the series focuses on housing and quality of life, the Alliance approached UPSTAR as a partner because of the association’s knowledge of the local housing industry.
“Supporting economic development initiatives in Allen County and Northeast Indiana is one of the association’s strategic objectives, so we were delighted to partner with the Alliance on this video,” said Laura Raudonis, UPSTAR Chief Executive Officer. “Many of our REALTOR® members specialize in working with customers who are relocating to Fort Wayne and the surrounding communities. This video will be a great visual aid for them in their presentations with out-of-state home buyers.”
The video, available October 14, will be housed on the Alliance and UPSTAR web sites and also taken onsite for company presentations. Plans are in the making for the Alliance to produce additional corporate attraction videos featuring the region’s business climate, skilled workforce and testimonials from corporate executives whose companies have already relocated to Fort Wayne-Allen County, Indiana.
UPSTAR, established in 1913, is the oldest trade association in Allen County. The association is dedicated to serving the professional needs of nearly 1,500 REALTOR® and affiliate members and to promoting and protecting homeownership and private property rights.
